What is an Architectural Technician?

Architectural Technicians specialise in the application of technology in architecture, building design and construction. The role of an Architectural Technician is a supporting one to senior members of the design team and work undertaken will vary from preparing technical information to ensuring statutory regulations and interpreting drawings.

How can you become an Architectural Technician?

To train as an Architectural Technician, you will need an HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or Construction or a Foundation degree in either subject.

To get on to one of the programmes, you will have to have passed A/AS Levels in science and technology susbjects and hold GCSE grades in Maths, Design and Technology and Science. However all universities and programmes are different so it's best to check them out first.
