Design lovers wanting to get a glimpse of some of the best newly designed homes can see them in ‘Designing Homes for Life’, a publication launched by the New Homes Marketing Board today.

The publication, with forewords from HBFs Chief Executive Robert Ashmead, journalist David Hoppitt and Design for Homes Chief Executive David Birkbeck celebrates the best in new housing design.

Interest in housing design continues to grow and a focus on design is an important feature of Government policy and the New Homes Marketing Board along with HBF are committed to promoting good standards of design in the industry, both to help meet peoples’ aspirations and in order to deliver what is required to achieve sustainable communities for the future.

Design is a key consideration for new home buyers, with findings from the New Homes Marketing Board and Halifax annual survey previously revealing that 13% of respondents interviewed cited interior design as the main reason for choosing their homes.

Zoë Barnes, Marketing Manager at NHMB said: “We are delighted with the launch of this years ‘designing homes for life’. We had double the number of developments sent in for consideration. Design is a key issue for house builders and the publication highlights how fantastic new housing developments can be.”

The glossy 100 page book features over 60 developments ranging from large new house builders to much smaller developments. It can be purchased for £15 from HBF through the website www.hbf.co.uk or by calling 020 020 7960 1600.
