Chance to inform the DCLG’s policy direction at Housebuilding 2006

15 September, 2006

The Department for Communities and Local Government is giving developers the chance to discuss the latest housing and planning policies directly with DCLG representatives at the Housebuilding 2006 exhibition.

The DCLG has extended an open invitation to housebuilders to come onto its stand M37 on October 10 and 11, to find out more about its future policy direction and raise any concerns about current issues.

“The DCLG was created on May 5 2006 with a powerful remit to promote community cohesion and equality, as well as responsibility for housing, urban regeneration, planning and local government,” said Peter T Gray of the DCLG.

“Housebuilding2006 is your opportunity to talk directly to representatives from the department about housing supply and demand,  planning for housing and flood risk and put forward any other concerns or questions you may have.”

He added: “Why not take a guided tour of the Planning Portal, the UK government's online planning and building regulations website. Representatives from the Portal will be on hand to answer your questions and demonstrate the system.”

The DCLG is just one of up to 100 exhibitors who will be at this years Housebuilding exhibition, offering a range of products and services to boost your business output and plan for the year ahead.
