WHAT DO YOU DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS?
Take reservations
Deal with telephone/email/walk-in enquiries
Ensure plots exchange within 28 days
Guide customers through to completion
Make sure marketing suite and show homes are well presented
Get regular updates from construction on build progress
Ensure all administration is up to date
Retrieve Market research from competitors

I like that every day is different. There are always new things to challenge you – it is a constant learning curve, which adds to the variety and satisfaction. You work along with many different departments and there is always something to be doing and something new to learn.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAREER?
My previous job involved sales, which was the most enjoyable part of it. I had enquired with Redrow when looking to buy a house and when I saw the advert for this role – I just knew it was for me!
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DID YOU NEED TO GET THIS JOB?
This role required the basic G.S.C.E’s qualifications. I feel ultimately some experience in a customer environment was helpful along with an enthusiastic, friendly and professional personality.
IS THERE ANY PARTICULAR ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE A GRADUATE OR TRAINEE LOOKING FOR A JOB IN YOUR WORK AREA?
You need to be very versatile in this role in order to help run a site well. Be friendly, sometimes patient and open-minded. A good memory also comes in handy.
