Under the chairmanship of Terry Fuller, partnering director of Taylor Woodrow, the HBF has re-established a specialist working group to examine and advise on issues relating to the delivery of affordable housing.
The affordable housing working group (AHWG) will be a key element of the federation's interaction with the office of the deputy prime minister (ODPM) regarding emerging revisions to circular 6/98.
The group is also tasked with the publication of a good practice guide highlighting the many varied ways in which the industry is addressing affordable housing issues. It will also produce a general critique of existing and emerging affordable housing needs surveys with a view to ensuring good practice both by local authorities and the industry.
