HBF is meeting with John Bader, the Welsh Assembly Government's head of housing and regeneration, at the end of April to discuss the 'Building success' report and the Barker Review.
The meeting provides the HBF with a good opportunity to discuss what the Welsh Assembly intends to do about the Barker Review. Our own report 'Building success' identified there were signs that Wales was beginning to follow some of the same policies which have produced a housing crisis in England. John Stewart will be pressing home the need for the Welsh Assembly to be mindful of its strategic role in ensuring sufficient homes are produced, in the right places, to meet household growth and changing economic and social needs.
