HBF supports annual North West home building careers event

Home builders encouraged to take up free standards to promote career opportunities to local students.

The Home Builders Federation (HBF) is joining forces with Haydock Park Racecourse to deliver the third annual North West home building careers event on Friday 27 September.

Part of the racecourse’s House Builders Day, this event has become a key platform for connecting with prospective talent from schools and colleges across the North West, with 320 students from Warrington, St Helens, Liverpool, Wigan, Manchester, Morecambe, and Preston having attended last year.

The stand space is offered for free for home builders and connected organisations. Last year’s event attracted more than 20 exhibitors, from national brands to regional businesses.

Tracey Hill, Project and Contracts Manager at the Home Builders Federation, says: “Creating space to meet the next generation and introduce them to career paths and opportunities available within home building is crucial if we’re to strengthen the talent pipeline.

“This event provides a valuable platform to showcase the breadth of roles within the industry and connect with local students, schools and colleges. Importantly, the event links the local employers with suitable candidates – in fact, previous years’ attendees have successfully secured work placements and employment from participating organisations.”

The careers event runs from 9.30am to 11.30am and is followed by an afternoon of racing and networking with industry peers.
