On 11th June 2008 the CML announced that, from 1st September 2008, house builders will be required to complete a Disclosure of Incentives form for all new homes where the buyer requires a mortgage. HBF issued a Briefing Note for HBF members on 11th June (see below). A copy of the form is also available to HBF members (see below).
On 11th June, the CML issued a press release (click here), as did the RICS (click here), and HBF issued a press comment jointly with Homes for Scotland (HfS) (click here). The CML also issued amendments to Part II of the Lenders’ Handbook (click here).
The CML, in consultation with HBF and HfS, will develop a Question & Answer giving more detailed guidance to those completing the form in time for its introduction in September.
