DIRECT SALES BY HOUSE BUILDERS New regulations on money laundering came into effect on Monday 1st March 2004. The regulations now cover estate agents. Legal advice as to whether they cover house builders is conflicting. HBF is seeking early clarification from HM Treasury. However members should be aware that this is an issue, which may affect them. HBF will circulate further advice to members as soon as the situation has been clarified.
