The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has produced a consultation document entitled “Changes to the System of Planning Fees in England”. This proposes changes to planning fees for 2005/06, to be introduced on 1st April 2005, in response to the Green Paper. The changes would raise an extra £30 million, with the aim of increasing resources for the planning service while improving the quality of service for users.
