The review meeting on 6th March 2003 mainly focussed on the Addendums, which were scheduled to be published at the end of May.
The main obstacle to the Addendum being issued is certain Water Companies insistence in requiring items that are too onerous. Subject to this moving forward it would be realistic that the Addendums are issued by July.
Also at the review meeting Peter Forster stepped down as Chair and Grahame Chilver of Thames Water has now taken on this position.
It is evident that some Water Companies do not want to maintain the same element of co-operation with the Federation as previous editions of SFA. Their reluctance to conform to the previous spirit of this Guide has greatly diminished and constitutes an entrenched position on some issues. There is now such an element of non-conformity throughout SFA it has to be questioned of its effectiveness and if whether the Federation should look at alternative ways for the Adoption/Vesting of Sewers.
