This department is responsible for health and safety in the workplace. They make sure that effective health and safety policies are in place, and that companies and workers follow relevant laws and guidelines.

Within the housing industry this is a key department as the nature of building can be a very dangerous place. If an accident has occurred this department would investigate this incident in order to be able to put policies in place to prevent any such accidents re-occurring in the same manor. The health and safety team would also send out advisors to inspect sites making sure that workers and the general public are safe from any unnecessary accidents.
