After the purchase of land, planning is one of the most important and difficult processes to manage. There are many stages in the planning process and you could find yourself involved in promoting stragic land which will involve long term negotiation with Local Authorities and land owners, using your commercial skills to assist the best possible outcome.

Short term planning on small, medium and large residential schemes also requires special attention with liaison existing with a vast area of consultants on Transport, Ecology, Environment, Archaeological, Green and Sustainable issues which will need careful planning.

You will have to know and keep up with local and national planning law and could become qualified as a Town Planner or Chartered Surveyor.
