Course one - The management of sustainability on site

Site managers and supervisors.
Summary
This course has been designed to address the key knowledge requirements for site managers and supervisors around the sustainability agenda if they are going to be equipped to successfully deliver design requirements on site.
What delegates will learn
Overview of the sustainability agenda, timescales and the move to zero carbon (the new definition).
Overview of the Code for Sustainable Homes and the mandatory requirements. Energy, Part L and Water - the construction issues.
Overview of requirements/impact of Approved Documents Part L1A and SAP.
Overview of impact of Approved Document Part F.
Design commitments impacting on site including:site waste management plansound testing/robust detailsobserving the design/specificationecologist recommendations.
Key issues of fabric energy efficiency - airtightness/testing and avoiding cold bridging.
Post construction review - practical/interactive session - site inspection and documentary review.
Course two-Management of the installation of low and zero carbon technologies
Site supervisors and managers, with responsibility for managing and inspecting the installation of low and zero carbon technologies.
This course explains the key issues associated with different renewable energy sources, and provides managers and quality controllers with the fundamental knowledge that they need to manage and inspect this form of installation effectively.
