North West

The region contains the greatest number of pathfinder schemes in the country and thus HBF and its members are very involved in these regeneration projects.

However, there are other concerns outside the metropolitan areas where some authorities see the emphasis on urban regeneration as an absolution of their need to provide for new and additional dwellings.

While HBF is supportive of the four pathfinder projects it is also working ard to ensure that the region retains a choice for homeowners through the continued provision of new houses in all other areas.
