Nottinghamshire Structure Plan - Deposit Draft

19 Dec, 2003

HBF has submitted representations on the deposit draft Nottinghamshire and Nottingham Joint Structure Plan (2001 -2021). HBF's main concerns are that appropriately 20,000 fewer dwellings are allocated for housing under the Draft Structure Plan in comparison with the existing Plan and the strategic distribution of housing could have very negative implications for some districts and their inhabitants within the county due to the onerous nature on where housing developments of any size will be allowed to be permitted and the over emphasis on urban regeneration in the city of Nottingham.

The HBF has commented in detail on the following issues:

- Green Belt

- Planning Obligations

- Wildlife Habitats

- Flooding

- Waste

- Housing Distribution Strategy

- Urban Regeneration

- Employment

- Parking Levies

- Traffic Reduction

- Private Sector Finance

- Monitoring.
